These beautiful story-telling necklaces by talented jeweller, Claire Gent are sure to inspire and captivate both wearer and admiring onlookers.
Each necklace depicts a woodland scene, composed of carefully layered pieces of patterned and textured sterling silver, copper, anodised aluminium and brass, each skilfully saw-pierced by Claire in her studio.
'Flying High' features a silver and oxidised silver bird flying over blue and brass undulating hills towards a copper tree in the foreground, against a bird patterned yellow sky - all framed in a silver circle border.
'Moon Gazing' features a characterful hare sitting aside a copper tree on a green hill, staring at the brass moon in the cloud patterned grey sky above - all framed in a silver arch border.
Both necklaces have a delicate silver trace chain with standard spring-ring style clasp.
ABOUT THE MAKER: Claire spent several years as a product designer before leaving the world of mass production in favour of a career in handmade jewellery. She set up her business in December 2011 from a tiny home workshop on the edge of Dartmoor. Her range of quirky contemporary jewellery combines illustration with traditional metalworking techniques. Inspired by the outside world, art and story books - Claire aims to produce designs that fuse fashion & nature.
