Elaine Bolt Ceramic Vessels

These elegant porcelain vessels feature natural twigs and vine tendrils collected from nature.

Both vessels are made from porcelain and are thrown on the wheel. The Flint Grey vessel is painted in a matt glaze on the exterior, and the Chalk White vessel is left unglazed on the outside. Both have a milky satin glaze on the inside.

Finished in a muted colour palette, all of Elaine's works are informed by colours and tones found in the landscape of the South Downs; featuring deep flint blacks, through soft grey stoney glazes to ghostly chalk tones.

ABOUT THE MAKER: Elaine Bolt is a ceramic artist working with clay and mixed media, creating works and compositions guided by a sense of narrative and steeped in the context of her local surroundings. Her work includes sculptural work, hand-built wall pieces and thrown vessels, made in porcelain and stoneware and mixed-media.
