Louise Nichols Textile Wall Hanging

Adorn your wall with this beautiful lino printed linen and felt embellished wall hanging from Louise Nichols.

This small hanging has been made by Louise in her Cornwall studio, by using a combination of techniques to create the unique final piece. Linen is lino printed using oil based inks, then felt shapes are appliqued to highlight specific details, like the red door and leaves on the tree. A combination of hand stitching and machine stitching are used to finish the construction and finer detailing.

The piece is finished with a natural wooden twig and hung from a short length of rustic twine. The back of the piece is neatly finished with a plain linen fabric.

In a cosy Autumnal colour palette, this small wall hanging would make for the perfect 'New Home' gift, or to complement a space with traditional or contemporary rustic interior style.

ABOUT THE ARTIST: Louise Nichols is a textile artist living in Cornwall and is inspired by people, scenery, walks in the mist, colours & textures. Originally from Nottingham, Louise graduated with a BA Hons. Degree in fashion and textiles and has worked freelance, designing upholstery fabric, wallpaper, cards and wrapping paper - though her real passion has always been in textiles.
