Lucy Burley Ceramic Jugs

Bring a touch of colour into your home with a piece of Lucy Burley's elegant and vibrant ceramics.

Each of Lucy's vessels are thrown on the wheel using white earthenware clay. She then uses a semi-matt earthenware glaze which she developed herself, creating a smooth to the touch feel, to which oxides and stains are then added to obtain the wide spectrum of colours that her work is well-loved for.

ABOUT THE MAKER: Lucy Burley studied Ceramics at Wimbledon and Camberwell Art Schools, graduating with a BA Hons in 1996. Her work is both decorative and functional: simple shapes which make sculptural groups. Lucy is inspired by Giorgio Morandi’s still-life paintings and aims to have the same harmony of form and colour within her own work.
