Printed on Fabriano hot pressed watercolour paper, each print is signed and numbered by the artist beneath.
'Cockerel' is number 50 of an original 1-colour print edition of 50. The image depicts a beautiful blue stylised cockerel, proudly showing off his ornately decorated body.
'Kabocha' is number 6 of an original 1-colour print edition of 38. The image depicts an ornately decorated lime green coloured kabocha, which is a type of green squash vegetable also known as a 'Japanese pumpkin'.
ABOUT THE MAKER: Ruth Green is a screenprinter based in Birmingham. Her brightly coloured compositions are inspired by mid-century design, and by the animals and plants of the British countryside. Making etchings, screen prints and paintings, Ruth’s prints draw on her design background, striving for simple, stylised forms.
