Adele Taylor Pendant
This showstopper of a pendant is a 'One Off' and is handcrafted by the esteemed jewellery Adele Taylor
The pendant forms part of the very limited 'Öland' collection. Adele was inspired by her time in Sweden and drew textures and patterns from the rather unassuming source of stone walls. The collection is so limited as the silver used has been recycled from the photographic process and she only possesses a limited quantity of this.
The pendant has a 16" snake chain and fastens with a clasp at the back. The two elements (one being oxidised silver and the other, green agate) are both set in silver, are conjoined to each other and are attached to a hollow curved bar which sits on the necklace, this bar can slide on the chain so you can position the elements in the perfect position.
Both the oxidised silver and conjoined agate measure approximately 45mm in their combined length.
The pendant is hallmarked on the back of the elements.
'I am obsessive hoarder, I pick up interesting objects usually because of their texture, from rusting washers, to bits of broken car indicator plastic. I then cast these objects in silver and 18ct gold to create a piece of jewellery. Often these hoarded objects are a reminder of a time when they were gathered and therefore the piece of jewellery has a hidden significance '
